Any data you write with TSM requires BOTH a TSM server and a TSM client to recover, and the TSM server has to be running a copy of the data base that was active at the time you did the archive. The TSM data is not retrieveable without the data base.

I was thinking of using the Plextor 12/10/32S External SCSI CD-RW drive but it is not supported. Obviously if the data has to be retained for any great length of time I would prefer to avoid any proprietary formats.
