I would like to periodically archive certain directories (e.g., the
log directories with the rotated log files). I use a command like this:
/usr/bin/dsmc archive /var/log/OLD/ -subdir=yes -archmc=logs
The problem is that this re-archives the directory itself every time.
I have several directories that I do this with, and many of them have
subdirs. I tried /var/log/OLD/*, but it would appear that dsmc has a
severe limit on the number of files it can archive. Besides, one of the
directories I want to archive has many subdirectories and LOTS of files.
Even with 'find . -type f', I am going to get a lot of files.
Is there an option I missed to help with this? When I do 'dsmc retrieve
-pick', I get dozens of copies of the directory in the list (one for each
time I ran dsmc archive).
