These NT clients are configured to backup to a GIG E card in the AIX server (should be plenty fast enough). Each client is setup for 100 mb Full duplex on their network card. No auto-negotiate. My clients are getting very poor network performance. Lets take one clients unparticular. It backs up about 15 GB a night but only gets a Aggregate Transfer Rate of 50.25 KB/second. The Network Transfer rate is about 4,000 KB/second. Is there anyway for me to get a higher Aggregate rate? I need these machines to backup faster. Can I tweak MTU setting or something for NT?
