Hi, While setting up a TSM environment, I came with a couple of questions concerning Virtual Volumes. Taken the scenario in which I use a target server to hold a copy storage pool and database backup.
- Can I easily transport the tapes from the library in use by the target server and check those in into the source server (in case of catastrophy)? - What is the awareness of the target server about the content of the storage pool? Is the data on the tapes in any way usable on the target server? (can it be used to restore, without restoring the TSM database on the target server?) Thanks in advance!
