We have done this several times for customers. HACMP requires that all of the configuration components, database, log, and storage pools be shared resources. This includes the directory /etc/security/adsm, and also the dsm.opt and dsm.sys files. These resources, properly configured, will "identify" which client the take-over node "is".
This is done with shared disk, symbolic links, and the fail-over scripts. If you need more specific help, please contact me off-list. Orville L. Due to company auditors we have to have tsm passwords expired and re-generated every 35 days. I'm trying to figure out an easy way to run tsm activities on the HACMP client which may be 1 of 3 different clients at any one time. Has anyone out there set-up a configuration similar... any advise would be greatly appreciated.... thanks Robert Burton Enterprise Storage Network Analyst Royal Bank of Canada 315 Front St West Toronto, On, M5V 3A4 * 416-348-3849 * [EMAIL PROTECTED]
