Bruce, you will need to obtain TSA500.NLM version 5.05 from Novell's site.
I found this patch in the beta section of the NetWare 5.1 downloads. The
Novell TID is 2960075. I am running NetWare 5.1 with sp3 and this newer
TSA500.NLM. I no longer receive the error you have below using TSM client
4.2.1.

Have 3 Netware 5.1 nodes running TSM client 4.2.1 backing up to a 4.1.3 AIX
server. Upgrade the TSA nlm's tsasup7.

This is the error I get on one:
12/17/2001 02:00:39 ANS1809E Session is lost; initializing session reopen
procedure.
12/17/2001 02:00:53 ANS1810E TSM session has been reestablished.
12/17/2001 02:00:55 (TSA500.NLM 5.4 313) A file cannot be read.
12/17/2001 02:00:56 (TSA500.NLM 5.4 269) No data sets can be found.
My second one keeps abending & the session does not close so the only way I
can close it is to reboot the server. I've tried using Q & control c but
neither work.
On the 3rd server which I just want to backup NDS this is what I get:
