Hi all, We have a -: 3584 Fibre attached library with 3 LTO drives in it. TSM server is NT4 SP6a, TSM Version 4.2.1.6. Server has been running for three weeks at this level....
The server crashed today with Dr Watson error. Library and Server were shut down and restarted. The library has come up and all tape drives / diagnostics run fine. The Server has come up and it can see the Library and Tape drives from operating system level. Q drive and Q server respond saying drives and library are online. Sessions are connecting to the server, I can do incremental database backups etc.. When I try to do a check out / or check in of a tape (or load on into tape drive) I get error -: ANR8840E Unable to open device LB1.1.0.3 with error -1 ANR8826E No Entry/Exit found on library LB1.1.0.3 Basically - Server can not send commands to tape library. Has anybody run across this problem before, have any helpful hints ? Thanks for any ideas you have. Martin Meldrum.
