Absolutely, The internal tape is much thinner to fit in the same cartridge. If the reel gets jumbled a lot you can get that 1 wrap of tape that is much easier folded than with the J tapes. Typically, it affects the beginning of the tape. But since the new packing came out a year ago this problem has gone away. However, offsite rotations can generate the problem if your courier is sloppy.
