Good afternoon, I am afraid you will have to setup as many disk storage pools as many tape pools you wish to be migrated into. This results in less effective sharing of disk space, maybe you will have to add an extra disk in order to prevent from excessive number of small migrations, but if tuned well it works quite great.

AIX 4.3.3 TSM 4.1.4.0, soon to be 4.2 This may be a silly question, but is there any way to migrate files from a disk storage pool to multiple tape pools? If so, how would one implement this? I have a large disk pool, but several specific applications that need their own tape pools and policy sets and I want to avoid splitting up the large disk if at all possible. Also, I only have 2 tape drives, so going direct to tape isn't really an option. Thanks in advance, Brian -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------- + | Brian T.
