During our implementation we discovered an error relating to using shared memory. The good news is the doc on it described precisely the system parameter to change to remedy the problem. This naturally set me to thinking about all the other system parameters I met tweak to make the whole mess run faster. I'm noticing that whenever I have a couple of clients moving data to my server the CPU utilization increases dramatically: from around 10% doing a couple of migrations to well over 60%. I'm thinking that can't be quite right.
Does anyone have a list of typical system setting for Solaris to run TSM efficiently? Seems I've seen a document with a list of parameters and their settings to optimize such a system. Anyone with ideas? Thanks, Kelly J. Lipp Storage Solutions Specialists, Inc.
