When you define the library to TSM, add a "c" to the devclass
definition, that will enable compression on the tape drive. Run 'help
def devc' for more info.

One issue I am having is turning on 3570 compression. I am not a Win
admin
and will have to rely on someone at a remote site to do this but would
like
some general sense of how it is done. I know how to do it on a library
connected to a UNIX TSM server...

Has anyone tried hooking an IBM3570 to an NT box for TSM?
