Hi !

Your 80GB is compressed capacity. DLT-8000 offers 40GB plus compression. But
the drive will not be able to compress data that are already compressed.

So if you are using client compresssion on your TSM nodes, 43GB is not that
bad.

Hey TSM'rs

I was wondering why I think I should be able to utilize the 80 GIG
capabilities of my tapes but it appears I am not. I average around 43 gig
on most. I have a Compaq TL891 10 tape library. Anyone else have this
config ???

TIA

Patrick
