When you are deleting the backups you should get messages like: 1:47:27,COMMAND LINE : C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\ADSM\agentexc\excdsmc /adsmautodelete:* /ifolder:35 /logfile:C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\ADSM\agentexc\excsfull.log 02/28/2002 21:47:32, Database : DIR, Object Name : 20020123210016.FULL, Status : Completed 02/28/2002 21:47:33, Database : IS, Object Name : 20020123210046.FULL, Status : Completed 02/28/2002 21:47:34, Database : IS, Object Name : 20020123221351.INCR, Status : Completed 02/28/2002 21:47:34,Results: 3 backup object(s) of 98 examined were deleted.
>From the TDP GUI you can click on restore to see all backups that exist. >From TSM you could issue a query similar to : SELECT NODE_NAME, HL_NAME, LL_NAME, BACKUP_DATE FROM BACKUPS WHERE (NODE_NAME='EXCHANGESERVERNAME') to see all backups on TSM for a particular exchange server. With TDP 1.1 you need to define your Exchange Backup Copy Group with verdeleted=0 for TSM to delete ojbects that have been deleted with TDP for Exchange. It was at 9.3 TB then and is currently at 10.8 TB. is there a way to see if it is in fact deleting anything, by issuing a by date command. we are running TSM 4.1.3 and TDP 1.1 even though we have the 2.2. thanks Paul Paul J Coviello Sr Systems Analyst Catholic Medical Center 2456 Brown Ave Manchester, NH 03103 603 663-5326
