Thanks, Tim, that's what I SHOULD have said:

We still get the message, but the backups don't fail since 4.2.0.

We still get this message running 4.2.1.20 when we have the RSM service
disabled.

But our backups work fine.

RSM is backed up as part of the System Object, so you can exclude RSM when
doing a manual backup if you don't want the error message.

What version of the client are you running?

We haven't seen this anymore since we upgraded the client code to 4.2.0....

Subject: ANS1340E Exporting RSM Database Files Failed

We have a user who is trying to back up a Win/2000 machine and is receiving
"ANS1340E Exporting RSM Database Files Failed" during the backup. The
backup stops after that. This is a manual backup, not a scheduled
backup. Looking at the list archives, I noticed that past responses were
to startup the Removable Storage service. The user has it disable on all
their machines because of other software they are using. They do not want
it started or even in a manual mode. They have 2 Win/2000 machines running
with it disabled. Only one of these machines receives the error. Any
ideas?

Thanks,

Diana
