Most libraries do a full scan of their content when they initialize and store the result in memory. When you do an audit ... checklabel=barcode, TSM actually works with the information in the libraries memory and does not do an actual scan.
If you really need the barcodes to be scanned again, re-init the library (power cycle, open the main access, whatever).
