You can specify "NWIGNORECOMPRESSBIT YES" so TSM will ignore these.

I see this too because our Novell people have Novell set up to compress a file two weeks after it is created... every file ends up being backed up twice! I just subscribed to the mail list today hoping that someone could provide an answer for the following issue that I am experiencing. I have TSM server version 4.2 running on a Win 2k system. The problem is appearing for the Novell NetWare clients that are backed up. The NetWare clients are running TSM version 4.1.2.16. The problem is that from time to time many files are being backed up even though they did not change. The size did not change and the modified date did not change. (Note: attributes of the files did not change either). I am seeing this occuring throughout every volume on the server. The end result is that Tivoli has too much data backed up which is eating every tape in my library. I am not seeing this happen on my Windows clients. Any thoughts? Thanks.
