Having talked to one of our Exchange experts, I've come to discover the fallacy of keeping a zillion backups of Exchange data.
Exchange 5.5 (and I assume 2000 as well) cannot deal with a loss of connectivity to the network of more than 72 hours. If you attempt to restore data that is older than that, Exchange will not work properly. Thus it seems folly to backup Exchange data with a preservation of more than 3 days. -- Mark Stapleton ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
