Frank, Have you checked to see if the tape was write-protected?

Hello all, Let me start out by saying that I am a new subscriber to this list, so sorry if these question have been posted before. I have recently set up a TSM server. The server and client code is at 4.2.1. I have the clients backing up to the server and files going only to disk storage pool only for the time being, until I get my tape drives. The problem I am having is with my database backups. I set up the dbbackuptrigger to backup the database at 75%. Now my problem, whenever I set logmode to rollforward, TSM automatically wants to do the first dbBackup which I assume would be a full backup. After the process gets kicked off, the 20 gig tape just gets spit out. Even when I set the logmode to normal and try a manual "backup db devclass=8mmdb type=full scratch=yes". When I run the command the tape reads, rewinds, and ejects without the backup. This is very frustrating and is probably something very obvious, but I can't figure it out.
