Don't know what your server/client mix is; but a possible solution is to keep doing your incrementals to WORM, but buy a CD burner for the server and create BACKUPSETs for the clients periodically (for the clients that support backupsets)... A storage pool for each client is a nightmare to consider... -----Original Message----- From: Gerald Wichmann [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 6:04 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Backing up to WORM
I have a requirement that dictates each client (or group of clients - the number of which may vary) must be on it's own media. This would be easy to implement with collocation when considering a sequential storage pool but with WORM optical cartridges which are not sequential devices, the collocation parameter doesn't apply (it's only for sequential devices far as I can tell). Given that requirement, the only way to facilitate that would be to have a storagepool for each client. Correct? Anyone think of any other ideas?
