private volumes

Hi, 
How can I determine expired volumes to check-in �or private volumes that has no 
data in 
them? I ask this because I sometimes can not follow-up expired volumes so I can 
not easily 
find which ones were expired and should be check-ed in to my library. This also 
includes 
check-ed in private volumes that no data in them (can be changed to scracth) 
Any ideas to automize these things other than DRM?
