I don't know how to go back but when we went from single path to multipath the ROM chips in the library had to be changed. So I assume that to go back you have to get single path chips. The robot should be set to a different lun but same target as a drive. What type of problem are you having? We have not had any problems with communication. I say it that way because we have had a lot of problems with tapes and drive errors but not any with communication.
