If you want to backup both the database as well as the file system data
then you will need both the TDP agent as well as 1 managed system for
LAN (or SAN).

Subject: TSM Version 5 Question

Hi

Has anyone installed TSM V5 as yet if so please respond to the question
:

Is there a requirement to buy the backup/archive client for TSM , if you
have
TDP R/3 installed on a server?
If you do not buy the backup/archive client - can you still backup your
files using the
TDP R/3 software, or does the TDP R/3 only backup databases and not
files.

If anyone can assist with the above request I will be grateful.

Thks
