Think about it for a second. A BACKUP STGPOOL command is how the data got there. If there was a way to delete the data from the storage pool, what would happen? The next time the BACKUP STGPOOL command is run it would just put the data on another tape. Just so happens:
DELETE VOLUME 123456 DISCARDDATA=YES does exactly that, where 123456 is the copy storage pool volume. Paul D.
