Oh, could be a lot of things...
remember one server's virtual volume is just a file on the other server...
maybe that file is on a volume that is itself being reclaimed on the other
server...
or maybe on a volume that is listed as unavailable (etc...)
check the remote server for any sort of messages along the lines of ~volume
unavailable~ or ~volume currently in use~

I wouldn't think you have any problem with your configuration since you are
able to write the volumes to begin with.

Subject: Server To Server

Hello TSMers,

For two Sun Solaris TSM-Server (Version 4.2.2.2) I am using the
Server-To-Server method to migrate data from one server to the other. Now I
want to reclaim space for the virtual volumes but I always get the
following error-message:

ANR4383E: Session failure, target server TBS has aborted current
transaction. Reason: Item not available.
ANR1181E: astxn.c399 Data Storage Transaction 0:563926 was aborted.
ANR2183W: afmove.c3566 Transaction 0:563926 was aborted.

Can anybody say, what's wrong in my configuration?

MfG
