IBM is asking us to install a new patch but is requiring us to be at a base level that we are beyond, which in itself shouldn't be a problem, but our level is actually beyond where the patch is going to take us.
Is this going to be safe to install? Our server is at Storage Management Server for Windows - Version 4, Release 2, Level 2.2. The install documentation from the link states; Service Level This is a Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) installable package that will install as level 4.2.2.13. You must have the base level (4.2.0.0) installed. I consider us to have the base level of 4.2.0.0 but on the other hand we are actually past that at 4.2.2.2. Will upgrading have any negative impact, and if there is, is there a reverse procedure for the patch.
