If I understood your note correctly, you still have to put the disk in a volume group, then create Raw LV's on that disk as opposed to Fielsystems.
David Longo >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 10/05/02 07:25AM >>> I decided to try using raw disk for database volumes, so I allocated some 10GB LUNs off our Shark. The problem is when I define them in TSM, they come up as 128MB volumes (used both the rvpath and rhdisk devices). Is there something I need to do in AIX to get them working? (I also tested them by putting them in a volume group and they came up as 10GB OK) Suad -- "MMS <health-first.org>" made the following annotations on 10/06/2002 10:36:06 AM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This message is for the named person's use only.
