Hi list, What is happening is this:
1- I had successfully backed up the TSM 4.1.3 database to a mapped drive (devtype=file) at a machine with TSM Server 4.2.0 2- The restore db worked fine but when I tried to use the "dsmserv upgrade db" command I received the following error: ANR9999D tb.c(784): ThreadId<0> Column count mismatch for table Administrative- .Attributes - expected 24, found 23 ANR9999D adminit.c(639): ThreadId<0> Error 18 opening table Administrative.Att- ributes. The above error also occurs when you simply type dsmserv at the DOS command prompt and press <ENTER>. I have been told that to upgrade the TSM version I should set up a new machine with the TSM 4.1.3 server, perform the above procedures of backup/restore db and then install the new TSM 4.2.X or 5.1.X over it. On the other hand, someone from Tivoli told me that the dsmserv upgrade db command works just fine and that what I did would work. Any help is apreciated. Thank you.
