I had AIX 4.3.3 ML 09 and TSM server 4.2.1.9 and upgrade both to 10.
Am further along with TSM now at 4.2.2.10. No problems noted.
Yes, reboot is required - standard with ML upgrade of AIX, mainly
for load of new drivers/microcode. Recommend halting TSM server before
start upgrade. (nice to have an lscfg of your devices also in case
they
get messed up, yopu have record of what was where.) I haven't had any

problem on AIX with several TSM servers.

Upgrade should take no more than 30 minutes including reboot, unless
you have to swap CD's. I usually copy CD's to disk first and upgrade
from
there - faster. To do this use Smit, Software Installation......,
Software
Maintenenace..., Copy Software....

I'm planning upgrading to the latest ML of AIX 4.3.3. Currently I'm at
TSM
4.2.1.9 but will also be upgrading it to 4.2.2.13. Not ever having to
update
AIX before I'd like to know, when I do, does it require a restart?
Also, are
there any issues with TSM 4.2.2.13 and the latest AIX ML anyone knows
of?

Thanks,
