IBM promised to have Oracle 9i 9.2 64-bit on AIX 5.1 supported by the end
of the month ("will be provided in a PTF available on the web by October
31, 2002"). So until you make the decision it ought to be available.
B/A client 64-bit support become available looong time ago.

Hi all,
I've got to work out some specifications for some new servers and I'm
looking for a bit of advice for what works with what.
OS: Either AIX 5.1 (latest ML) 64bit or HP-UX 11i 64bit (*)
Database: Oracle 9.2 64bit
Backup: TSM for Databases (Oracle) and File level client (latest levels).
(*) I've got to spec for both AIX or HP-UX and then the project will
decide
which one they want.
My question to the list is: Is the above TSM software compatible with
Oracle
9.2 under the above operating systems? (the Tivoli website implies that
Oracle 9 is only ok under AIX 5.1 32bit which disagrees with what my DBA's
are telling me).
