First move the data off the tapes to new one by doing a move data. MOVE DATA VVVVVV
This will move the data to other tapes in the pool. If not all the data is readable and it is a primary tape you can do a restore volume command if the data is on a copy pool tape. If not, it is just gone and you just as well do a delete volume vvvvvv discarddata=yes on the tape. The next backup will re backup what was lost if it still resides on the client. Checkout the tape immediately once it is scratch. Paul D. What do I need to do to replace these tapes? Please advise. TIA __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? HotJobs - Search new jobs daily now http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/
