Hi again Zoltan, Can't resolve it, but I can tell you what I've seen:
The ANE4005E isn't uncommon. I see it sometimes for "transient" files. I think what happens is that the TSM client somehow builds a list of what should be backed up, but before the data mover task gets around to copying it, it's gone. If it only happens once, the file probably IS transient, and is gone, and you can ignore it. In this case, since it continues, and because of your second error, it is probably a bogus or damaged filename or directory that is causing the problem. You have to find a way to hunt it down and kill it. Although it's annoying to do, often the fastest/simplest way is to use the GUI and try backing up one sub directory at a time until you find it. You can usually get a pretty good idea of where to start by looking in the dsmsched.log file at what directories backed up before and after the error. The other way would be to set up a TSm client trace - probably need to call support on that one (although there is a book on the trace functions somewhere). Once you find the bogus file/directory, delete it or rename it. Usually when I run into this it is a truly transient file, a garbage file that can be deleted, or a bad filesystem pointer that needs to be cleaned up with scandisk. Good news/bad news, when you run the TSM client, you get your filesystems checked for garbage, whether you like it or not! :>) -----Original Message----- From: Zoltan Forray/AC/VCU To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 10/30/2002 8:39 AM Subject: Can someone please help resolve this issue..... These annoying messages have been appearing, daily, for months. What is causing them and how do I resolve them ?
