Geoff, Increasing the session options is not a problem if your network and host server are man enough to handle the increased load But you should be seeing warning messages on the host if your sessions are not starting because you are hitting max session limits. Also did you see an earlier post I sent about sessions missing with ANR2567W Messages If you are seeing these messages then that problem is still open but there is a suggested local fix.
"Gill, Geoffrey L." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> on 10/31/2002 03:47:36 AM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: (bcc: John Naylor/HAV/SSE) Subject: TSM 5.1.5.1 Options changes It was suggested to me from support to change these 2 options on the server. Now, mine have always been lower but only because I've never looked closely at this issue and what others are using, plus it's always seemed to be fine in the past. This is a huge change for my server, it's on a GIG, but I have no idea what the affect will be. What are others running in this area? maxsessions 125 set maxschedsessions 95 Geoff Gill TSM Administrator NT Systems Support Engineer SAIC E-Mail: <mailto:gillg@;saic.com> [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: (858) 826-4062 Pager: (877) 905-7154 ********************************************************************** The information in this E-Mail is confidential and may be legally privileged.
