Just simply dsmfmt the new ones on the new volumes with new names, then define them to tsm BUT don't extend the db or log, then delete the old ones. TSM will ~move~ the data to the new ones and all is well. OR Just simply dsmfmt the new ones on the new volumes with new names, then define them as mirrored copies of the existing ones then delete the old/original ones.
either way works... can be done while other activity is going on but best to do in slow times. I have a need to move the log files and database as currently they are on a raid 5 set shareing this with the diskpools. I'd like to move the database and log files onto seperate mirrored pairs to increase the performance and better use the disk space we have. I've hunted around in the manuals and cannot find how i can do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?? Thanks in advance. ........Rikk **************************************************************************** ************************ Equitas Limited, 33 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8LL, UK NOTICE: This message is intended only for use by the named addressee and may contain privileged and/or confidential information.
