Tab,

I'm glad for ALL inputs I can get. However - the reason for the problems
to define the library was defective hardware in our library. HP needed
two days to fix it, but it's runnin now.

Thanks to all...

Bye,
Wolfgang

Tab,

lets be honest. HP SS 4/40 is native HP thing while 20/700 is an OEMed
StorageTek L700 - a different beast (with different problems).

Wolfgang,

I have an HP SureStore 4/40 and we had quite a time getting it to work
properly with TSM on AIX. Much of it was related to the library itself,
so if you search the forum archives you will find the details of what we
went through with TSM and HP Tech Support, as well as some discoveries
we
made on our own.
