Sorry to react so late, but I've hadn't have time to go thru my ADSM-L digest before today.
The Client version stored in the Database is the version of the last Client that accessed the Node. For example, if de Backup-client on the node is version 4.2.1.20 then after the backup is finished this will be the version you will find in the Database. If at a later time a Restore is performed, using a client with a different version (e.q. 4.1.0.0) then after the restore is finished the version in the Database will be 4.1.0.0. I ran into this just recently, so beware!
