Could be the "reusedelay" for the storage pool they did belong to... (I use 0 days so I can't say how they look once all the data expires and they are in a ~waiting to be reused~ state)
Other then that, there was a little bug a while back (sometime prior to 4.2.2.0) that would leave hanging pointers somewhere and such volumes would require a "delete vol <volser>" to be issued against them to clear things up.
