Hi Bill, indeed they are checked in as scratch, so there seems to be a bug somewhere for the volumes not to automattically return to scratch

If the tapes are truely not assigned to anything (stgp, dbbackup, backupset, export,...) then just CHECKOUT LIBV with REM=NO and check them back in as STAT=SCR. Bill Boyer DSS, Inc.
