Oh, a trick question? Nonexistent things cannot be deleted. ;-) The deletion of obsolete filespaces certainly results in the removal of all their files from the TSM database, where the number of files is the most consumptive factor in the database. Use Query Occupancy to see how many files are involved. If many, you can look forward to nice relief in your database, and shorter database backups. (Never delete more than one filespace or volume at a time, as the db updating requires locking, and conflicts can arise.) Richard Sims, BU
