If you are trying to dynamically allocate drives, then you will need to setup a library manager (the existing TSM host) and a library client (new TSM host). Then whenever hostB needs access to a tape drive it will make a request to hostA for a mount point.

One is connected to a 3494 library with four 3590 drives defined. How do I set up the second server to use the libraries and drives that are defined to the first. The primary server is running AIX 4.3.3 and TSM 5.1.1. The secondary server is running AIX 5.2 TSM 5.1.5. Both servers are on a fibre san and both servers can see all drives. Can anyone advise on this??? Ruth Peters, Dasd Storage Administrator Watkins Motor Lines, Inc. --IT/HDQ [EMAIL PROTECTED] (863) 688-6662 x5452
