We were backing up Netapps using netbackup - used NDMP agent and
configured dedicated drive- physically connected to netapps. Our
Library (STK9710) was mixed 9840 fibre drives and DLT .mail me off-line
if you need any other information on netapps backups .

Hi,
I had a meeting with NetApps and they told me they can backup using TSM to
SAN-connected library. As I understand correctly, they mean the NetApps
Filer can connect with a Fiber card to a SAN and can dump its data to a
SAN-connected tapes in a library according to TSM commands. I am just
curious about if the tape drives have to be dedicated to the NAS, or they
can be TSM drives, shared between TSM server and NAS as the sharing
between TSM server and other servers or storage agents ?
Anyone with experience in that area and is willing to share it with us ?
