We just switched from doing DB2 database dumps to disk and sweeping them to TSM via dsmc to using the API and going direct from DB2 to TSM.
A quick search through the list archives did not turn up an answer to the question, can we still compress the backups client side? Basically, I want to save space in the disk storage pools and generate less network traffic. Especially considering the DB2 backups compress somewhere around 70%
