Sure, do it all the time.
I have been moving old archives off 3490 cartridges to 3590 cartridges,
via MOVE DATA ....... STG=????????????.
Works just fine.

Has anyone every tried moving data from one stg to another with different
device
classes/media type?
The two media type have different storage capacities.
Did you have any success or where there issues?
