Hi Joni, I'm living the same kind of experience as yours. TSM version 5.1.6.2, but on AIX platform ! I can use the web GUI, but if I have to push on "stop" button in my favorite browser for any reason, before getting a response from TSM server (sometimes have to do it for long SQL queries), this leaves kind of a "ghost" session that can't be killed, and only disapears if I recycle the server. I also lived a situation where I had many of those sessions (approx 30, dunno exactly), and where the server completely hang : no way to log in anymore, even thru command line interface, and all processes where hanged too : tapes, scripts, etc ... Very bad thing :-( I allready wrote about it on this list, without getting encouraging response ... But many people here are "old-timers" (not meant to be offensive for those readers) preferring monastic command line to those fancy little icons ;-) Cheers.
