Hello All, We want to put two TSM servers on the same machine, within the same operating system (OS/390). These servers will need to share a very limited number of tape drives in two shared automatic tape libraries (one local and one remote). We will need to do all the daily maintenance tasks in approximately the same time slot. In addition, migrations or database backups could kick off at any time on either of the servers. How are other TSMer's handling the scheduling and sharing of tape drives between two servers?
I have developed some scripts within TSM that "kind-of" handle the scheduling and sharing of tape drives in a semi-efficient manner, but this is certainly not an ideal solution.
