Simon,
Why not create a new primary pool, and back it up to the new copypool? You
can migrate the data from the old primary pool to the new one as time goes
on, and it will get backed up to the new pool, or you can wait until most
of it expires and handle it then.
The down side is that until you move all of the data from the old primary
pool to the new one (and hence have a copy of it in the new copypool),
you'll need to have both copypools for any disaster recovery exercises.

Hi,
Is there a way to use my existing copypool tapes in a 2nd library, so I
won't have to start all over again with a 'full' backup stg, which will
take weeks to complete?
As I see it I need to make a second decive class for my new library, and
then I can't reuse my tapes because they belong to another device class
(device class name, the device type is the same).
I use 1 TSM Server 5.1.6.2 with 3584 LTO1 drives and i'm getting another
3584 with LTO1 drives (FC).
Regards,
Simon
