A good temporary workaround for those intermittent stops is to have Win2K
restart the service automatically.

Open control panel -> admin tools -> SERVICES
Right click on the TSM scheduler service, select PROPERTIES, then RECOVERY.
Set first and second failure to RESTART THE SERVICE.
Set RESET FAIL COUNT to 1.

Hi to all,

Why do we have to restart the TSM client scheduler services so often?  It
stops after a while.  How do we fix this?  My TSM client is 5.1.5.0.
installed on Windows 2000 and NT4.
