If anyone has cloned or restored an ORACLE database (9i) to another client (Solaris 8) using RMAN and TDP, could you please share your scripts/tips/experiences ?
We have changed all references ( tdpo.opt, dsm.opt, etc.) on the target client to match the source client and used tdpoconf to reset the password and we still get the following errors: Starting Duplicate Db at 09/08/2003 13:54:36 RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03002: failure of Duplicate Db command at 09/08/2003 13:54:37 ORA-19554: error allocating device, device type: SBT_TAPE, device name: ORA-27000: skgfqsbi: failed to initialize storage subsystem (SBT) layer SVR4 Error: 409: Unknown system error Additional information: 7011 ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text: SBT error = 7011, errno = 409, sbtopen: system error RMAN> RMAN> **end-of-file** Next error: starting full resync of recovery catalog full resync complete allocated channel: ORA_AUX_DISK_1 channel ORA_AUX_DISK_1: sid=10 devtype=DISK starting full resync of recovery catalog full resync complete RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03002: failure of Duplicate Db command at 09/08/2003 15:59:20 RMAN-00600: internal error, arguments [11047] [] [] [] [] RMAN> RMAN> **end-of-file** TSM server is AIX 4.3.3 / TSM 5.1.2 TIA, Brec Whitten UAB Hospital
