Robert - Those steps would nicely get from the bad volume as much good data as
likely could be gotten, and ostensibly cause the client restore to use
backup data from the corresponding Copy Storage Pool volume - presuming that one
exists. The client log should show how successful that was.
You need to go on and do a server Restore Volume per the Admin Guide, to recover
the remainder of that tape's data back into your Primary Storage Pool.
Don't overlook drive cleaning or use of an alternate drive as a possible means of
getting by the problem: sometimes it's not the media but the condition of the
drive being used at the time.
