Hi all and thank you in advance for your help We hace a volum group named tsmvg dedicated only to TSM (Database, Recovery log and sorage Poolls. the output of the command : "lsvg -l tsmvg " gives:
tsmvg : LV NAME TYPE LPs PPs PVs LV STATE MOUNT POINT db1a jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db2a jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db3a jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db4a jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db5a jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db6a jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db7a jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db8a jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db1b jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db2b jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db3b jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db4b jfs 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A db5b jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db6b jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db7b jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A db8b jfs 16 16 1 closed/syncd N/A log1a ....................................................... log2a ........................................................ ... log1b ............................................... log2b ............................................... .. but the output of " query dbv" gives only four volumes: db1a, db2a, db3a, db4a and theirs copies (miroring) : db1b, db2b, db3b, db4b (all have LV STATE = open/syncd ). I wonder why volumes db5a,6a,7a,8a and db5b,6b,7b,8b (LV STATE=closed/syncd) don't appear in the output of the command " query dbv !? what's the difference between " open/syncd " and " closed/syncd " Are they database volumes again but desactivated for the moment?
