I hope somebody here can point me in the right direction to figure out
what is going on. I am trying to install a 5.2 client on a Linux machine
(Linux390 SuSE); when I enter

rpm -i TIVsm-API.s390.rpm

I get

TIVsm-BA                    rpm: rpmio.c:177: fdGetFp: Assertion `fd &&
fd->magic == 0xbeefdead' failed.

TSM Support tell me this is an rpm issue. I just don't know where to go
to try to figure out what the problem is; I'm a complete novice with
rpm. Can anyone give me a clue?

Thanks,

Jane M
